Moisture

At last, after ages of dry cold weather, we got rain. Last night there was the heavy stuff but overnight a softer mist like rain fell.

It let these lupin leaves hold on to globules of water. Very good for the garden which was getting very dry.

Only marginal improvement to the cold today so another spell snuggled up in the armchair. As a respite from church paperwork, I resorted to watching the election coverage for a while! It was that kind of day.

Late this evening an irritating beep set the dog barking. We eventually traced the noise to one of the fire/CO alarms where the batteries seem to need replacing. Rather than perch on top of a ladder and potentially triggering the entire system and waking up the neighbours I worked out how to silence the beep for 24 hours.

At least I hope it works. The machine is in our bedroom!}
