Before the Storm

I featured 'The Hilly' a few weeks back as one of our annual cycling events. These guys are the bit hitters at the start of Event 2 of 3 at the Curborough Sprint course. A contrast to the Hilly in most ways, this is mass start racing on a closed circuit of less than a mile. The protagonsists race around said circuit for an hour before being given 5 laps to sort the men from the boys and cross the line first. Our role in the event is to capture a photo finish at the end of it and agree the placings. Photo finishes are taken above and behind the finish line and as such don't tend to produce any pictures you would want on the living room wall. So, I thought I'd try and capture a keeper before it all kicked off.
