The upper layer
Some time ago Tweedy requested a blip of the contents of one of my freezers. Since my camera doesn't have x-ray vision, this is the best I can do: the view of the contents at the top.
This is the big freezer which holds ready meals, soups, raw and cooked fruit, and things like passata, veggy dips and pesto. Another freezer contains raw veggies, meat and fish. The third is for bread, cordials and baking.
Rather against my better judgement I made a huge batch of the River Cottage Nutty Beany Beetroot Curry, which greengirl pointed me towards yesterday. Thank you gg: it is delicious! I made enough to last me a couple of meals this week, plus three good containers for the freezer, which were almost levered into the tightest of spaces. That really is it. This freezer is full. The other two have tiny amounts of space left.
I have had a lovely cooking day, making the curry, some soup and a couple of salads to last me the week. I also got into the art department and completed a handful of cards. There is a small flurry of birthdays about to happen...
