waiting

We get a call late last night from our neighbour Steve. Trish has had another seizure and he needs some help. We take Bertie in while he goes with Trish in the ambulance.

It was all a bit of a rush and we don’t have the full ‘looking after Bertie kit’.  He howls as the ambulance leaves but after some fussing seems to settle down. 

He wakes us about 7.00, expecting breakfast.   We don’t have any, so Anniemay borrows some dog food and a bowl from a neighbouring dog, which does the trick.  Bertie seems to enjoy it too.

Then about 8.30 we get a message from Steve telling us that Trish will be home later today.  We tell Bertie and he goes to the window to wait.
