Good and bad green

Lovely colours on the boardwalk. The lichen looks beautifully healthy.
 
Unfortunately the vivid green creeping foliage is an invasive foreign species that is rapidly taking over the ground on each side of the boardwalk. Presumably the Council hasn’t got the funds to tackle it. It’s going to get harder and harder to get it back under control.
