Sunday ride

Had a ride on our bikes to a lodge in the woods outside Oslo, where they serve hot soups, nice sandwiches, waffles and aquavite. We had a sandwich and a cuppa. The lodge was build in 1943, for the nazis by a Norwegian contractor, who made money on the German occupiers. We were suprised to see a lot of young girl- and boy scouts and leaders passing by the lodge (Extra). I said hello to some leaders, not far from my age, who could tell that 150 scouts had stayed overnight in the woods and were on their way to their last place for their weekend gathering. I have been scout myself and was happy to see them. Not that many scouts to see around anymore when there are so many offers and activities for today’s generation.
