Not quite the RNLI

The Model Boat Club people were out at the pond this afternoon. Always interesting to watch for a bit - the swans and ducks know it’s best to keep their distance for an hour or so.

One of the racing speedboats had a bit of a mishap and, after upending itself, it spectacularly sank. One of the younger members of the club then had to don the waders and make his way across to the far side of the pond, where some helpful spectators pointed him in the right direction. The sunken ship was retrieved from the depths and brought back to land, and later able to recommence terrorising the water fowl.
