Makes Me See What I want to see

 Aw.  I woke at 8 and came down stairs and read my book. 

I was really hoping for a warm day, or at least sunshine.   But nope, it was grey and cloudy. 

At least the plants seem to be on the move and thinking it's almost summer.  My Wisteria is turning this beautiful purple. there's a lovely halo around the top of  Cosmo Cottage, and It's only going to get better as the week goes on, and hopefully the sky gets wamrer. 


A lovely, lovely thing happened today. 

When himself got up we were sitting having coffee and Himself said, "there's D coming to the door. 

D is our neighbour across the road. 

She is a gardner, and lives with her partner A and their Daughter E.    D's son has been and gone to university and is now out on his own. 

I went to the Door and D was standing, holding a plant in her arms .

"I've been at the nursery this morning, and I've saw that you love  magnolia, and that you've been away celebrating and I saw this and I just thought that you would love it." 

I was absolutely dumbfounded.   I just hugged her tight and said thank you very much.  She said, I just saw it, I knew you would love it.     I was so touched tthat she saw it and thought of me.   It's made me feel very loved today. 

She's called Merril, and currently she is sitting beside Magnolia number three, which  decided to bloom this week, depsite me thinking that the buds were dying.  Magnolia number 4, is sitting beside both of them, taking inspiration. 

 We took a trip to Ikea this afternoon and had an absolute ball. 

Bottles, bags, meatballs, toilet brush ( I had an unfortunate incident with the toilet brush -  I split hair colour down it.... It looked like i had had another unfortunate incident with my bum.   I tried cleaning it but i coulldn't lift it at all. 

We also popped into Sainsbury for we need a new kettle.   Water was leaking out of the bottom of the kettle.   No idea why. 

Now we are sitting in the living room,  pretty chilly.
