The Back Door

Our first full day. Mr PB went to the supermarket and bought provisions for our stay, then we had a pleasant lunch in the garden. This afternoon, we had a lovely walk from the cottage along the old cut at Minsmere, which is a bit like seeing the reserve from the wrong side. There were lots of butterflies and birds - quite a selection of warblers singing loudly, but they were difficult to see now that the trees are in leaf. We did glance a Marsh Harrier and a Bittern.and I added Swallow and Great Spotted Woodpecker to my year list.
