Dave went off not bright but early, taking extra supplies as they're going to have their first night of residence on the island. I did the last marking - well, should have been the very last but I found one of the assignments had been submitted in the wrong format and not in a way I could wrangle it into the file handler. So had to email the student and ask him to re-submit it. Then that will be the last assignment I have to mark......

Went out briefly and greeted a couple of eider couples who were bimbling round on the WoL. One of the misters came over towards me; they don't usually tout for bread like the mallards, so maybe he just wanted to show off his beautiful apricot coloured chest. He is very handsome.
