West Bay

It was a wet, grey and soggy morning but we had pre-booked tickets to Monkey World so we headed over mid morning.  I have heard great things about it there but most of the monkeys were indoors sheltering from the rain and the window viewing points to see them were very crowded so I didn't really enjoy it.  I am sure in good weather it is much better.

We left at about 3, and B was sick in the car a few miles from getting back to the cottage, so an emergency stop at Tesco to clear her up.  She seemed fine immediately after, so I think just travel sickness.

We had a short rest at the cottage and then headed over to West Bay for fish and chips dinner.  We nearly didn't go and nearly stayed at the cottage for the evening but I am so glad we did, it's lovely there, the sun came out and we spent a few really nice hours on the beach.

John had a snooze, the girls played in the waves for ages and I watched them and also watched people climbing up the very steep grass hill side of the cliff.  I have a fear of steep things and so not my idea of fun, not at all, but enjoyable to people watch.

West Bay is lovely and I definitely want to come back to Dorset again soon.
