Rainy and Cold but Fun!

I had a great video chat with my three dear high school girlfriends this morning. Most of us have scattered from our origins in Manchester-by-the-Sea, Massachusetts. I'm here in western Oregon, Diana is in El Paso, TX; Sandy is in Guilford, NH and Carol is in Hamilton, MA. But we always pick up the conversation so easily...probably even better than when we were so young.

Later, MrWK (who's real name is Jeff btw) stopped by on his way to a house he's renovating south of Portland by about 3 hours. I haven't seen him for a while since his son got married at his house last weekend. I'll be going down to join him for a few days this week...my job will be cleaning woodwork in preparation for painting! Starting at the bottom level until I prove myself apparently. I bought this petunia and some other annuals to fill a hanging basket by my front door. Isn't this crazy looking flower? It's called "Night Sky".
