Salt Flats in the Camargue
Today was the best day yet for photography. I visited some truly amazing locations in the Camargue, but the highlight of the day, eclipsing things like sunflowers, wild horses and sundry other subjects, were the salt flats. Reminiscent of a scene from Paris, Texas, they have an other worldly atmosphere all of their own. They come in two colours - white and pink. The pink ones are outstanding, but I chose this picture because it has more of the traditional landscape photograph about its composition.
