ok, it looks a little scruffy but what a lovely piece of functional & beautifully designed Victorian bridgework.

But what's that I hear, could it be the marching goosesteps of Network Rail philistines?

Yes, they plan to rip this out and replace it with a piece of bland, modern bridgework so a lift can be incorporated for the less able.

Fair enough, do I hear you say? Well, it would be if it were not for an ugly modern pedestrian bridge not 30 feet away, also unsuitable for wheelchair users despite being semi-ramped, and NOT scheduled for replacement.
