Enjoying the

Good weather this morning. H wanted to get fuel for the car.then we went to Gunwalloe which is about 4 miles from Helston. It has been quite awhile since we have been .there is a lovely church St Winwaloe which has a sign the church of Storms.it is likely to of been there since at least 15th century although some parts can be dated back to the 13th century. There are quite a few celtic crosses in the cemetery. We went inside it is a lovely little church with a Norman font.we had coffee from the NT kiosk and sat on the rocks watching the surfers for a couple of hours. Poldhu hotel in the distance is now a care home.there is a very small Marconi centre at Poldhu maintained by the NT.it was the location of the wireless station for the first transmitter for the first transatlantic radio signal in1901
