Good alternative

Norman was supposed to be playing golf today, on his birthday. But once again there was no play, it was far too wet, absolutely horrible.
So for consolation we went to our favourite local Thai restaurant, situated at the back of a pub in Leatherhead.
We always start with their fabulous shared starter, with a taste of the first six items on the menu. Such a difficult decision what to take first? For the main course I always have a Massaman curry, not too hot. Norman tried something different and said it was delicious. Determined to celebrate in style, he finished with banana fritters. He washed it down with Shere Drop, a locally brewed bitter. I drove home. It was still raining!
