Burning Ears

After mentioning a spotted sandpiper the other day, this guy's ears must have been burning and he decided to show up. I was quite surprised to see him. Do birds have ears? Must be concealed.

I decided not to try and remove the reed sticking up, even though it is rather distracting. Not everything in life is perfect.
