Bluebell day
Tessa sent me this photo today. She took it about ten days ago: Annie and I on the bluebell walk. In Standish woods. As I've only just seen it, and the bluebells are still out, I'm publishing it today.
Went back to work. It was warm and sunny. Walked to a home visit and back. Two members of staff who are on their maternity leaves brought their babies in. One boy, one girl. We took turns to hold them, until I remembered I had to rush off for a Zoom.
In the afternoon I went off to another home visit. Both visits concerned people who had had a stroke, or two, in the past five years. Both were affected very differently. For many people it seems that life is never the same after a stroke. I must read the anti-cholesterol book again, seeing as my own father, who lived overseas, died of a stroke at the age of seventy.
Got a lift back to the office, then an hour or so later V gave me a lift home, as she goes to yoga at the Trinity rooms. I attended my writing group on Teams. Got some good feedback. I think I might start digging out some of my older writings. Maybe some sort of memoir might be possible. It feels like a jigsaw puzzle at present.
Finished watching Dopesick. Remarkable! The rat in the living room remains shut in. Steve bought a rat trap and baited it, but the last time I checked , there was no rat anywhere to be seen..Poor Indie has been shut inside all day, by accident. I will unlock her door again tomorrow morning.
