Cheating (just a little)

I love Cosmos.

I always buy a few packets of seeds and do my best. Some come up straggly, struggling for light. Some come up looking quite happy. Some don’t come up at all.

This year, my house isn’t unnecessarily heated so the seeds haven’t germinated particularly well. I do have quite a few that made it to the next stage, and I’ve sown some seeds where they (ideally) will grow.

I couldn’t resist a pair of these well advanced (forced) blooms when I saw them at the Canalside Farm Shop and I have no regrets. Well, maybe just a slight sense of cheating……
