Small Tortoiseshell
One of the advantages of not cutting down my nettles has been a surge in the number of Small Tortoiseshell butterflies, Aglais urticae. Without the nettles the caterpillars have no food and the butterflies can't be. The Globe Buddleja is covered in the butterflies this morning. It's quite a spectacle!
Early blip and much to do. I have a feeling I might be watching the tennis this afternoon!
I've just put up yesterdays blip. Two adorable Kestrel Chicks. :) It was too late to post them last night.
