Self Set
Our pride and joy in our garden is an ornamental acer now coming up to 30 years old. It has grown to 10 feet tall but still retains its dainty grace, despite its size. We have started to notice some die back on some of the branches and hope it isn't a portent of future ill health.
If it is, at least we seem to have offspring coming from its seeds. This has self set in a pot that was close to it last year. The leaves are unmistakable. We'll need to take care of it and make sure it remains healthy and then we can grow it on and nurture it. I can only imagine how many years it would take for this to grow to a reasonable size; probably well after we are long gone.
