Sunshine! Warmth!! Fire fixed!!!

We had sunshine today! And it was warm!! So nice to be able to sit outside at last. Hazel popped over before her gym session, and JR was just back from hers. Hazel is off on holiday (again) tomorrow. (Archie’s the one with the cone on).

Of course, the reason for the warmer weather, is that I have at last got the gas fire fixed. So don't need it quite so much. Though we have it on now - it's just so lovely.

Pip came to visit for the day, and the boys just mooched around out in the back garden for a while. Then I took them both for a walk round the block. Such slow progress...

JR, after her two gym sessions, has been flat out busy the whole day. Washing windows, cleaning the front pavers, ironing the guest duvet cover, and probably many others things that I didn't notice. The visitors from OZ are going to stay here for the night on Friday.

I cut the grass, though I love the rampant daisies and dandelions... it looks like we'll be able to sit out the back with the visitors. Possibly.

Abi came back early to pick up Pip, and we sat out the back and discussed her upcoming holiday in South Africa. They're driving their own car, so they're much more flexible than we were. They have lots of activities planned - they're going to hike up Table Mountain, walk with elephants, visit the monkey sanctuary and swim with seals (!) But we told them they MUST go to the ostrich farm - that was the best fun! I'd love to do that trip all again...
