Manchester Skyline

A beautiful morning, soon warmed in the sunshine.  A lovely sunny afternoon and evening, warm too.

Up early, a lovely breakfast in the hotel.  Headed out for some shopping in Aberdeen.  Bumped into various Shetlanders along the way, always folk from home here.  Headed to the airport in the afternoon.  Flight to Manchester on time, also Nicola, cabin crew from yesterday was on the route too.  Got settled into the hotel near the airport, then headed into town.  Back to the hotel for a quiet night. 

A lovely day for flying over the UK, I had the window seat and enjoyed the views.  As we came down into Manchester, I was surprised to see how many skyscrapers there are these days.  I was aware of new buildings popping up around the city, and various ones under construction, but hadn't seen them from height before, very impressive.  It's been seven years since I was last here, must be a few new ones since my last visit.  Looking over Manchester city centre, taken above Brinnington, Greater Manchester.
