Moving forward

Some good news at school after one of the teachers offered to take voluntary redundancy. It’s a huge loss to the school but at least we can relax a bit now and begin to move forward.
I had always thought of teaching as a secure job and, in all my years (19 nearly,) I have never felt so vulnerable. Apparently there are many other schools going through the same because of under-funding for so many years. We can only hope that a change in government might begin to fix things in education and it can’t come soon enough!
