Tallulah with Four Toddlers

Mama goose had her goslings in tight formation. Just after a took a couple more pictures, mom dove down into the water, obviously perturbed about something. My guess? A big turtle. I've seen it quite a few times, a snapper taking a duckling or a gosling, even a full-sized duck. Not fun to watch.

I felt good enough to take a drive in the country today, seeing "my" horses, and driving into the national cemetery. I even made scalloped potatoes for supper, and they were yummy.

The perils of goose-dom
are often loaded with strife,
but always good in the Spring...
