Busy bees

Another beautiful warm day, and I sat out in the sunshine, listening to the blackbird. I was watching the bees on this geranium, buzzing from one flower to another, often revisiting those they had already tried. There were many bees there together.
I noticed an oak sapling growing up through the middle of the geranium and I am hoping my new gardener will be more diligent than the present crew who really are not gardeners. I am not sure when the new man will start, I hope it will not be long.
It has been good to have some energy today as yesterday was a complete washout! I guess it was the result of my Covid jab the previous day, but I didn’t feel like doing anything, I just wanted to sleep! Thankfully that was the only after effect I suffered.
