An old favourite

Delighted to find that the buds are opening on my Iris Sibirica. They don’t last very long but are absolute showstoppers while they are in bloom.
The sun has shone all day so we spent the morning in the garden and the afternoon at the allotment. Truly astounding amount of growth among the weeds but good to get beetroot, carrots, savoy cabbage and Brussels sprouts planted. Mr EAnn of course did most of the hard work. I enjoyed sitting in the sun watching him.
