Extremes....

A quick wander round Wick Pond in Home Park this morning in glorious sunshine. New life was evident all round. At the cute end of the spectrum were the eight cygnets which hatched at the weekend. In the odd looking category I found the alien-like crane fly for which I have some fondness. At the plug-ugly end of things the final extra is of one of four young coots, which amazingly have survived being killed and eaten by their own parents, a fate which sadly often befalls their kind.
