Alnwick

Such a fantastic day for a road trip down to Northumberland. This was a trip that got cancelled two years ago when I caught covid - we got there in the end.

It was really warm and we had a wonderful day visiting the gardens at Alnwick Castle - large chunks of the day were spent on various benches and seats just soaking up the sun and birdsong and having a jolly good catch up. The day was rounded off with a trip to the bookshop in the old train station before heading back up the road. 

What a lovely day, exactly what I needed after a relentless past week or so.

My phone has also been returned - hurrah! A job for tomorrow.
