A very uninspiring photo, but an important one. Jack is on the bill alongside actual real dancers!

A busy day at work for me, packed with some interesting development work, which was a break from the usual casework. Then after my afternoon was done with I made a dash down the A1 to Leeds to watch Northern Ballet’s Sketches, which is their choreographic showcase. One of the grad programme students had been working on a piece for her and Jack, and a couple of weeks ago it was a surprise addition to the company’s programme. So a few extra rehearsals were thrown in, and this evening was the first of two performances. The adrenaline ensured Jack’s arms held out for the final lift, which he was slightly worried about after it didn’t go so well in the last rehearsal! However he reassured himself that he’d never missed a lift in an actual performance and was confident it would be alright on the night - and it was!

Detour for closed motorways on the way home for me, and hence a late arrival home. Looking forward to the day off tomorrow.
