The Sanctuary of Appollo Hylates

We decided that we needed a culture fix today and visited the Sanctuary of Appollo Hylates, it's been about 14 years since I was last there and there has been some additional excavating and reconstruction work Since then. This photo is of the temple, partially reconstructed. We then went exploring, following a sign to a beach. The beach was nice, but a bit stony, the next bay round appeared to be sandier.

We went back to our villa and lounged by the pool and had a swim (I am proud to say I am the champion of the back stroke race!)

We are off down to the village now for some local wine and a Cypriot kebab (I can feel my waistline expanding already)
