Around town

We had a leisurely breakfast, our friend did a load of washing and put it on a rack, then we walked down to town bought a couple of essential items, said hello to a couple of friends, went to the Opera House to show it off, picked up a book from the library, had coffee and a nibble at the Collective Café, browsed through a couple of interesting shops, then walked back up the hill.  By this time my right leg and buttock were extremely painful.

MrM pre-prepared supper while I made some phone calls, then we drove to the Blue Penguin Colony to watch the penguins come ashore.  At one point we had five little penguins standing in front of us trying to decide whether it was safe to walk past us to their nesting boxes.  It was magical.  As we left there were three little penguins on the road, so we were able to take photos, which you can’t do inside the official area.

It’s been sunny but cold and an enjoyable day wandering around town with our friend.
