Hanging Around!
A day of good blip opportunities. I started cleaning up the red bike which our granddaughter Ariadne has grown out of and while I was doing that a group of lads were clearly looking for something out in front of the house. It turned out they were contractors for the developers (Taylor Wimpey) who own the section of rail cutting behind our house here to cut back some of the trees at the request of one of our neighbours. As they were polite and clearly professional we let them have access through our garden - and they trimmed a couple of the trees which are too close for comfort to our shed. My main blip is from late afternoon, Rob (their foreman?) is up one of the ash trees which he had identified as suffering with Ash Dieback and so he is making a start on reducing its height. He is of course Hanging Around sorry - couldn't resist :-)
In the extras, the red bike which will shortly be seeking a new careful lady owner for fun and frolics (must have own teeth and a secure/weatherproof garage)
and - one of the Artist boards from the village art group exhibition running this weekend. This one is Gaynor's, she uses the photos I take (and often blip) to illustrate the next newsletter. She has not exhibited previously, not thinking her art was up to standard, Gill cut the mounts for her artworks which helps with presentation. So far I have photographed 16 of the 35 boards and there are three more on the stage for large pieces. The light in the village hall is dire (diplomatic/polite version) so I'll go back early tomorrow morning when some of the reflections/shadows/sunbeams are on other people's boards.
