Betsie Therapy

Another “fun” day in the madhouse! Dial a Ride to the dentist this morning for Dad’s dental surgery. Back home to phone hospital to arrange eye treatment, first available appointment now not until June, dental infection caused a delay of over three weeks. Had to call dentist as wound wouldn’t stop bleeding. Followed advice all afternoon to no avail. Told to return to surgery, lift from E next door. Saw different dentist, wound had to be packed and stitched to stem bleeding.

Home by 6pm to find Betsie and her mum had been waiting in the garden for half hour. Once the patient was settled and had been served with cold scrambled eggs, S and I sat down in the garden with food and bubbles, kindly and most gratefully provided by S. Betsie loves playing with corks! Lovely balmy summery evening (21 degrees still at 7pm), a natter with an old friend and Betsie cuddle therapy was just what I needed after a very fraught day.
