Stoned

I was pressure washing some of the paving in the back garden.
There's a small area that has stone chips at the border, which over the years have become less visible and more embedded in the ground.
I decided to scrape them up and clean them by rinsing dirt and dead foliage from them.
Two hours later, I wasn't quite sure how worthwhile it might have been, but they're certainly cleaner as you can see from the basin on the left.
