Wow. Just wow.

Hard to believe this was on my doorstep. Harder to believe this shot was taken facing south.

While I was busy facing northward over to Fife and beyond waiting for the last remnants of dusk to give way to night, a huge arc kicked off to my south, working overhead in a north westerly direction.

Strongest Aurora I have ever seen at this latitude.

Solar wind, blasting past the earth on a scale I just cannot wrap my head around.

Truly humbling experience.
