Big Cheque

Brilliant day at work today.

We visited a local primary school where our team did some work by developing an environmnetal garden for them..Recently we won the companys "Chairmans Award" for the best Volunteering Team activity. Woo Hoo. Anyway - the fab part was taking along one of those big cheques to the school and presenting it to them at their assembly.£1000 for their funds.

We invited the companys Chairman to come along and present the cheque. He had an amazing ability to engage the children with great ease and chatted to loads of them for ages.

Favourite moments from today:

1. The chairman arrived in his chauffeur driven Merc gliding in to the car park while I waited on my colleagues whilst my managers ever so slightly aging Banana Yellow Nissan Micra coughed and spluttered its way in to the car park right behind.

2. One littkle girl - guessing about 6 or 7 said to the chairman - "Can I tell you a joke?" of course he says - "Did you hear about the man who ate too much fruit?" No says the Chairman - "He farted a peach!" Tremendous laughter all round.
