Aurora

It was hot on the Cumbrian coast, we were sitting out into the evening.
As the sun began to set I started seeing AurorawatchUK alerts.  Last week was the same but by darkness the alerts had faded. This evening they did not.
I saw what was unusual cloud streaks directly over the house, it was still light but looking at them with the camera it was evidently an aurora.
Away from the light of the town on St Bees Head things got very lively. 
There seemed to be a central core of light directly over our heads which varied in intensity by the minute. (Extras)
Never seen an Aurora before, what a way to break my duck.
