Snow streaks….
on the Cairngorms from the survey wood this morning, where it was very hot and sunny. There were so many things on the wing! There were Peacock, Tortoiseshell, Orangetip, Gree-veined White and Speckled Wood butterflies. There were Bumblebees, wasps, flies, and beetles. Photoed the Two banded Longhorn Beetle, right species but not what I was looking for. There was a species of Wood Ant that I have not seen before. Woodpeckers, Wrens, Willow Warblers, Tits, Chiffchaffs and Crossbills were all singing. The walk was good too!
