first to bloom in the neighborhood

I love irises. My mom grew them in our backyard garden in Maryland when I was growing up, and they came with the farmhouse hubby picked out for us in Pennsylvania. I do not have any at my current residence in Colorado, but plenty of neighbors do!
There is such a variety colors and sizes, but I've always been partial to the purples and blues.
