Angle Shades

Well, it seemed like summer today. Actually managed the short sleeved t-shirt and capri length tights for parkrun today - I’m not one of those hardy types who is in vest and shorts all year round!

Pottered about in the garden most of the day, and also did a bit of tidying up of the front garden, which is when I spotted this moth on the wall by the front door. My knowledge of moths is basically nil (apart from the pesky clothes ones!), but internet research tells me it is Angle Shades and it is quite common. It seems to like red valerian which would make the front garden a perfect habitat for it, since the valerian spreads itself everywhere.
