USS Midway Museum

Our second museum in two days! Today found us at the USS Midway Museum on the San Diego waterfront. It is an amazing experience I highly recommend, especially on a non-tourist season, mid-week day. You would think I would feature one of the dozens of airplanes on display, but I was more intrigued by this command center in the bowls of the ship. According to the docent on station, the displays scattered around the room were just as they had been on Day 4 of Operation Desert Storm. Fascinating to see and hear of his firsthand experiences during that time.
