I'd already blipped a sunrise yesterday, having no idea that the Northern Lights would be making a mind boggling appearance in the North Sea on Friday night. Schoolboy error ( though I've snuck a shot from yesterday into the extras >>>).

Tonight it appeared that Auroramania had taken down every forecasting website available. The general gist online was that it just wasn't going to happen tonight.

I kept taking odd test shots after sunset. Just looked like dusk. Then it didn't - building from green, to purple and then three layers of distinct colours. Certainly nowhere near as close or impressive as last night but still a wonderful thing to see.
