First-sitting (12th May 1999)
Today marks 25-years, to the very day, since the newly established Scottish Parliament had it's first sitting, and the very recently elected MSP's were officially sworn in ...
... I was extremely lucky to be in the public gallery that day, and the main snap is a picture of my entry-card, alongside the special Scottish pound note that the Royal Bank of Scotland printed for the occasion!
If interested; here's a link to the official portrait of that first cohort of 129 MSP's - I would have been in the Gallery at the time this was taken, as a guest of Sarah Boyack MSP - along with Sarah's Mum :-)
It was a truly wonderful day.
