Badminton Horse Trials

We made a decision last week to go to the horse trials for the cross country.  We got up super early because of previous reports of traffic problems but everything went smoothly and we were parked up by 8 am.  Headed to the In The Saddle Stand (we book our horse riding holidays through them) and relaxed with an early glass of Prosecco.  

We bided our time around the other stands until the cross country phase started at 11:30 am.  The crowds were massive, so rather than follow the throng around the course in fence order we did it in reverse.  It was more challenging to get close to the fences than our visit to Burghley last year.

The final horse completed the course at about 4 pm by which time we had just finished walking around.  We stayed on looking around the stands until 6 and then headed home.
