Not the sharpest
but the best I could do after waiting for a great tit to come out of the nesting box.I had almost given up when I saw the head appear and did a quick snap. Wasn't even sure if the bird was in the frame. Will set up the tripod next time.
Last year we had blue tits in this box. We bought abother one which has sparrows in it, now. Not my favourite bird but Hubby took off the smaller opening because the sparrows and great tits had tried to peck the hole bigger. I would have left it for the blue tits, myself. Earlier. the sparrows had nstarted a nest in the old one but abandoned it as it was a pretty tight fit. We cleaned out the partially built nest then the coal tits moved in.
