Akbar

Cycling thro' the tunnel I spotted this graffiti; new to me as I don't pass by from it on regular base anymore... on internet I learned more about this graffiti and Akbar Simonse: 

" Akbar was not born Akbar. “Nobody knows his original name”. "That is specific to the world of street art, you come up with an artist name to sign your work. Akbar may not be a graffiti artist, but he is one of them just the same, so it is fitting that he also adopts a stage name.”

However, he did not come up with the name himself, but received it from the Indian guru Bhagwan. Since then he has gone through life as Akbar, both in everyday life and on his passport. "Do you want the official meaning? That is 'Great Bliss'. 

But for him the meaning changed every day; he was a known Streetphotographer in Den Haag and a little cyclists tunnel is named after him and got this graffiti portrait of him "Akbar Simonse 1947-2021".
