Brown job

Anyone know what kind of butterfly this is? It was very neatly camouflaged against the earth at the allotment while we were at the annual fund-raising plant sale. There were also cakes, teas and even lemon curd on offer.

Stayed up after Eurovision to see the northern lights but it sounds like they were weaker and the sky was a bit hazy so I saw nothing. Today, the hot weather suddenly cooled and broke. Good to get some rain this afternoon though.
