The back way home

It's the season for crowded roads, at least on a sunny Sunday.  So I took the back way home from Bridport after Mass this morning.

This is the lane outside Mapperton House; I stopped in the middle of the road, braving the heavy traffic, to grab a wide-angle of the lane and post box.

It has been a gorgeous week for weather, but Mrs B has been struck down with some horrible bacterial infection of her respiratory system which is taking its time to go.  However, she can breathe at night now, having started a course of stiff antibiotic, but is feeling mightily frustrated at being stuck at home in a week of such weather – possibly the English summer :-)
