Tea Time

Our visitor arrived about the same time as last night but luckily we were in this time. 

We had a visit to Loch Garten, and walk in the wonderful woods, but unfortunately the ospreys weren't in.  I first visited the Boat of Garten ospreys, as they were known, in 1977. I learned today that the first ospreys arrived at Loch Garten in the 1950s and until the late 60s there were no more than 2 breeding pair recorded in the UK. There now reckoned to be about 300 pairs breeding in the UK.
